Gianni’s is a health food brand, redefined! The brand fuses three categories that are typically at odds with each other: Natural health foods, Italian Cuisine, and Convenience. The brand challenges what consumers know about frozen food by marrying the three segments.

BRANDING

We strayed from the conventional red, white, and green colors associated with heavy Italian food. Instead, the brand uses a mixture of blues and greens, reflective of the healthier Mediterranean lifestyle of Italy. The primary wordmark and typography combined are the right mixture of bold and approachable, and are greatly influenced by Italian design heritage. 

FOOD PACKAGING DESIGN

We blended retro design details with modern accents for Gianni’s packaging design. The frozen food packaging showcases the all-natural burger front and center on a parchment colored backdrop, with a sliver of the Italian flag along the edge of the top panel to bring the consumer back to the brand’s roots.
