Leadoff Studio led the industrial design of the Connected Ankle Weights for Mirror, along with the product design of the Mirror Smart Weights line. The connected tech product is designed to enhance the home workout experience for Mirror and Lululemon Studio users.
Leadoff Studio worked closely with Mirror to create the physical brand language for their first wearable tech product. The product design expands on the brand’s clean minimalist feel with a soft cool grey color palette that is both elegant and nods towards high-tech.
Wearable tech product design
The Connected Ankle Weights provides real time tracking, suggestions, and form correction for a more effective strength workout. Once they are paired and in motion, the LED illuminates to let the user know they’ve connected to the Mirror.
Innovative ergonomic design
The Mirror Ankle Weights have a unique wrap around design with just enough stretch that enables a one-size-fits-all construction. The soft weights allow for maximum flexibility on the ankles and wrists through a multitude of Lululemon Studio classes like Boxing, Pilates, or Barre. The flexible design fits better around the ankle bone than typical weights, allowing wearers to work out longer.
