Future Vision of 3D VISION Printed Footwear

Client: SOLS
Year: 2015
Our Role: Creative Direction, Industrial Design, Design for Exhibition

In February 2015, NBA All-Star Weekend and Fashion Week took place in New York City on the same weekend. Knicks All-Star and tech investor Carmelo Anthony hosted a showcase on wearable technology as one of the many satellite events. Leadoff Studio collaborated with SOLS to create the company’s vision for the future of footwear to showcase at the event.

ADAPTIV’s cushioning shifts as you walk to prevent injuries before they happen. Its 3D-printed exo-skeleton and cushions tighten or relax around your foot where it is about to need it. Its technology is a vision for how SOLS existing infrastructure for 3D-Printing orthotics can evolve, combining with advances in computer vision and soft robotics.

Leadoff Studio also worked with SOLS on their algorithmically driven 3D printed insoles.
